POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Screens and identifies inmates who are mentally ill, chemically dependent or suicidal. Provides crisis intervention and counseling to assist the inmate in the resolution of any personal or situational difficulties. Works effectively with multi-disciplinary health care teams.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or a related field is required. One year's experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment setting is preferred.

LICENSURE
Current state licensure from the Texas Department of Human Services is required
