Jobing Description
Manage the System Support Specialists and the client-server environment.
Manage all aspects of the Microsoft Active Directory environment; Ensure all aspects of Active Directory are aligned with the security framework. Troubleshoot and resolve all issues related to Active Directory. Manage vendor application releases and maintenance patches; Coordinate testing with end users. Manage network shared folders and directories on all servers. Manage user access controls and privilege rights. Maintain user group policies. Oversee systems administration tasks. Coordinate server backup strategies. Maintain an effective patch management program. Manage network services. Oversee the management of Exchange server and Symantec virus controls. Manage technical support to hardware and software application systems to include after hours support as needed. Coordinate the installation and technical support of 3rd party software systems. Maintain accurate configuration and documentation for all server configurations, operating systems and 3rd party application systems. Ensure department is adequately staffed and equipped; Select new employees, recommend salary increases, promotions, and disciplinary action; Set performance standards, give clear direction, delegate and schedule work; Monitor performance; Train, coach, and provide direction and guidance. Produce and analyze monthly statistical reports and resource time allocation; Provide data for the annual budget. Maintain an effective disaster recovery plan to ensure business continuity and mission critical system access; Test the plan annually. Represent the department on various committee assignments as requested; complete special projects as assigned. Skills / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4-6 years experience in managing Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure; Microsoft Certification preferred. 2-4 years experience managing Microsoft Exchange server, SQL, and Oracle database administration. Experience with Virtualization technologies required Episys knowledge and experience preferred Ability to manage and lead others to achieve desired results. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and policy management. Knowledge of capacity, characteristics, capabilities, and limitations of Windows and Linux operating systems, hardware, software and peripheral equipment. In-depth knowledge of network architectures and TCP/IP. Ability to troubleshoot advanced hardware and software problems, and to secure appropriate support. Budget analysis and preparation skills, to include the ability to make cost projections and justifications. Ability to analyze complex problems, make recommendations and implement strategies for continued effective use of automated resources. Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to lift/carry 40 pounds. This position requires pre-screen testing. Candidates may be asked to take a pre-screen test if interviewed. Important Notes
