Job: Collector

Patient Account Specialist for busy medical oncology practice in San Antonio. Responsible for account follow-up for all assigned accounts, resolving billing problems and answering patient inquiries. Sets up financial arrangements as needed. Uses collection techniques to keep accounts receivable current including monitoring for delinquent payments. Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices, insurance agency operating procedures and practices, governmental, legal and regulatory provisions related to collection activities, and medical terminology. Proficiency in CPT and ICD-9 coding. High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years experience in a medical business office setting with insurance processing and balancing responsibilities. Excellent oral and written skills. General PC knowledge. Well organized and be detailed oriented.
