POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision, is responsible for administering, scoring and interpreting various psychological tests for inmates, probationers, job applicants and employees of adult and juvenile detention facilities. Prepares reports describing the results of the testing, much of which is conducted in relation to court-ordered psychological evaluations necessary for upcoming juvenile court proceedings. Performs related duties as required. Job has significant impact on department operations. Directly responsible for the safety of self and indirectly responsible for the safety of co-workers, inmates and the general public. Job responsibilities include constant handling of confidential information/documents such as psychological test results and evaluations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in Psychology required. Training and experience in the administration and interpretation of both objective and projective psychological tests required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
Must become certified as a Psychological Associate by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists within one year of employment. Must obtain Adult Detention Center Security Clearance. Must have a valid drivers license.
