Software Developer

By Light is hiring Software Developers to join our team. This position will support the development of the Unified Platform providing DOD with a joint cyber operations platform capable of mission planning, data analytics, and decision support for the execution of full-spectrum cyberspace operations at the operational through tactical levels of warfare.

• Develop and implement new software programs
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
• Design and update software database
• Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary

• One or more DOD 8570-compliant certifications such as Security+, CASP, or CISSP
• DevOps and automation experience
• Familiarity with Linux operating environments, particularly RHEL/CentOS variants
• Distributed processing and design patterns
• Computer networking, protocols, and layers
• Operating systems internals and computer organization
• Python development
• Django framework
• JIRA or Rally agile management tools

• Experience working with Scaled Agile using SAFe Framework
• One or more technical certifications such as CCNA, CEH, or ASEP

• Secret clearance required at time of employment with ability to obtain TS/SCI; TS/SCI eligibility preferred
