Doctoral Degree Civilian Certified Athletic Trainers
MedTrust is pre-recruiting Certified Athletic Trainers to support the program at Military Facilities in SAN ANTONIO, TX. This is in anticipation of an upcoming government contract award.
Position Details:
- No Federal Holidays
- Normal hours of operation will be nine (9) hours in length including a one (1) hour lunch
break, Monday through Friday. - Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX area;
Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), Lackland Medina Annex, and Camp Bullis.

Responsibilities
Shall partner with other Athletic Trainers and Sports Medicine Physician(s) to
ensure clinical care objectives are met, keeping patient safety and quality, trusted care at
the highest level of priority; assist with duties pursuant to oversight of the Athletic Training
Program, including CPI efforts and research initiatives with the goal of improving patient
care in support of the training mission.
Must meet all of the
following physical requirements
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree:
Ten (10) or more years of experience in diagnosing, treating, and/or preventing
musculoskeletal injuries as a certified athletic trainer (after graduation) in a high school,
college, professional sports, or military training setting is required. Three (3) or more years
of experience overseeing a sports medicine or athletic training program is required. - All athletic trainer(regardless of position) shall be certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association
Board of Certification (NATABOC). Must maintain current certification with
the NATABOC throughout the period of their employment, as per the most up-to-date
requirements - Basic Life Support
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted Texas state license.
