Job Description

1. Inspect and ensure all new and replaced equipment (i.e., tractors and trailers) scheduled for delivery, meet DOT safety and environmental compliance regulations

2. Inspect and ensure that all new and replaced equipment scheduled for delivery meet company requirements including risk management accident response procedures and the Transportation department safety and security policy

3. Notify Transportation department if new or replaced equipment does not meet DOT or company requirements

4. Plan the most efficient route for delivery of equipment based on weather conditions and fuel delivery schedules

5. Drive equipment to scheduled destination(s); complete required delivery paperwork

6. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

7. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

8. Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate required

• Minimum two years’ prior experience as a commercial driver in the trucking industry required

• Must hold and maintain a current Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) with hazmat endorsement

Specialized Knowledge
• Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred
• Experience with interstate system permit rules

Competencies
• Ability to communicate effectively with various departments within the organization
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as pertain to equipment delivery
• Ability to plan delivery of equipment within specific timeframes
• Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills

Travel
Travel required up to 100%

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
• Exposure to diesel, gasoline, and propane fuels
• Sit for extended periods of time
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Climb, bend, and stoop
• Work around fuel drop areas, trucks, trailers, and fuel hauling equipment
• Exposure to various weather conditions and temperatures
• Available to work DOT allowable driving hours
